Too bad for God to love me?

Have you ever thought, I’m just too bad for God to love me?  Believe me, you’re not the only one who has thought this.  But wait…there’s good news!  Jesus is in the business of forgiveness.  You see, with Jesus, failure is not final.  Actually, this is the very reason Jesus left heaven and came to earth.  He didn’t come to save the righteous but he came to save those with messed up lives.

“On hearing this, Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.  I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners.'”  Mark 2:17

It’s true…God loves you

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst.  But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.”  1 Timothy 1:16

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”  Isaiah 53:6

Just ask him into your heart

If you would like to ask Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior, just say these words in your heart.

Dear Jesus, I know that I have messed up my life so much…so many bad decisions.  I thought I was just too bad for God to love me but I am putting my trust in you.  You’ve promised that I can call on your name and that you will forgive me of my sins; that you’ve taken my sin on the cross to give me everlasting life with you.  I’m blown away, Jesus, of your great love for me that you would die for my sins…a death that I deserved and not you.  Jesus, forgive me and give me the new life that you promised.  In Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen  .
