God’s Word Stands Forever

“Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.  With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.”  Luke 1:1-4

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.  Psalm 119:105

“And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.”  1 Thessalonians 2:13

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.  Psalm 119:11

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”  Mark 13:31

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”  Romans 15:4

“…they have been entrusted with the very words of God.”  Romans 3:2b

“But the word of the Lord endures forever.”  1 Peter 1:25a
