Temptations

God doesn’t let us be tempted beyond what we can handle.  When temptations rise up, look to God to give you strength to overcome.

“So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!  No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.”  I Corinthians 10:12-13a

“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.”  For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.  Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father.”  James 1:13,17a

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.  And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when your are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”  I Corinthians 10:13

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.  The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.”  Matthew 26:41

“And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”  I Corinthians 10:13b

“You dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”  I John 4:4

When we give in to our temptations, we often make the wrong choices.  Read what God tells us about bad choices.
