Bad Choices

The Apostle Paul struggled with bad choices too.  He tells us what he wanted to do, he didn’t do. But what he didn’t want to do, that is what he did.  Sound familiar?  Choose God to turn bad choices into good choices.

“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.   But whoever lives by the truth comes into the lights, so that is may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”  John 3:19-21

“Do not be mislead:  ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’ ”  I Corinthians 15:33

“If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away.  It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. ”  Matthew 18:8

“Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.”  Proverbs 21:23

Watch Out!

“I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned.  Keep away from them.”  Romans 16:17

“Then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God’s face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well-being.”  Job 33:26

“Help me, Lord my God; save me according to your unfailing love.”  Psalm 109:26

“Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. ”  Deuteronomy 30:19b-20a

“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.  In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”  I Timothy 6:18-19
